Tecnologia Critica is looking for a Communications Coordinator to join its remote team.

About the position:
We are looking for a Communications Coordinator that will work with the Critica team on various projects and communications activities, with a focus on coordinating the internal and external communications components of the Global Network of Social Justice and Digital Resilience.
The Communications Coordinator is responsible for the strategic engagement of Critica and its projects with the general audience, as well as broader communications of Critica's work. We are looking for an individual that will bring a strategic, creative and experimental mindset to help us communicate better about complex issues related with digital technologies in a diverse environment.
Some specific tasks:
- Develop, coordinate and monitor communications activities, outreach, and related products
- Organize and facilitate internal and external communications meetings and gatherings
- Manage communications calendar
- Maintain and update website(s) and wikis
- Organize online and in-person events and convenings
- Write and maintain newsletters, blogs, and other communications materials, as well as commission and edit other communications content
- Support other team members as required
The Communications Coordinator may be based anywhere. Some international travel may be required.
Required skills:
- Any relevant educational background (tell us why it's relevant)
- Related communications experience in an international or global majority environment
- Copywriting skills for website / social media / mailing
- Experience writing, commissioning and overseeing different communications content including press releases, blogs, newsletters, etc.
- Experience in facilitation
- Able to work well in a diverse, multi-lingual team environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines
- Good coordination skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Attention to detail
Desired knowledge and experience:

Experience with digital rights issues such as freedom of expression, digital resilience, privacy, surveillance among others.

Understanding of global and regional social justice challenges, especially in underrepresented or marginalized communities.

Experience dealing with international and specialized media.

Language skills in a language other than English (Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, etc.).
